Biography

Born Yorkshire 1946 and educated Bradford College of Art and Cambridge School of Art. Pauline Ellison made her first appearance with Francis Kyle Gallery with her paintings of Sicilian gardens for the theme exhibition Lair of The Leopard (2005). The artist has had a long standing botanical interest in plants and gardens but recently has chosen to focus particularly on the effects of light and form rather than the individual structure of plants, specially in a stronger, southern light.
